It’s been one of our busiest quarters at O-Tel. The end of the middle of the year has seen O-Tel deploying its first phase of NGN. It has been a learning experience. Feedback has been good, the quality compared to ADSL is just no match. We’ve submitted applications in such volume that Telkom senior executives took notice and setup meetings with O-Tel just to ensure that the procedures and progress runs smoothly. JINX - Teraco Link Upgraded |

With a flurry of smaller providers now transiting calls through O-Tel, and the need to peer with the major providers, the upgrade came 6 months before planned schedule. The link has been quadrupled and ready to handle more major sign-ups. Our inbound calls has also trebled due to the number of Number Porting applications to O-Tel. 786 Number Range O-Tels long awaited 786 range of numbers has finally been approved by ICASA and is in process of being propagated. |

IPTV Beta Test Phase Triple Play is the road ahead. O-Tel has begun testing IPTV channels. Latency and Backhaul is a problem, but we’ll get around it. It was great to see live channels via broadband though |
